When Is Delivery?
Delivery day is Wednesday. You will receive a notification by email or sms on Monday or Tuesday to confirm delivery on Wednesday. If this changes, you will be notified by SMS. Please leave out an esky or cooler bag for us to deposit your delivery. Adding ice packs are ideal, especially in the hot months. This is not as essential if you have a large order as the cold holds well.
How is the product packed?
Unlike most BARF or raw pet food suppliers, Gourmet Pet Food packs the raw nutrition meals in takeaway containers that fit neatly in your freezer. Bones and fish are packed in clear bags. Product is made fresh then frozen to -22 degrees in a commercial facility. They are picked on the day of delivery to keep it as cold as possible.
How it works:
1. Have a look at our selection of Australian made products for your pup
2. Choose our subscription service for regular fortnightly delivery or you can just order when you need it
3. Sit back & relax, your dog food will be delivered frozen for your convenience. We service Sunshine Coast and Brisbane (Qld) areas. Please leave out an esky or cooler bag to receive your order
How do I thaw the food?
The danger zone is between 5-60 Degrees C. The meals are best thawed in the fridge at 2-4 degrees C over about 3 of days. You would do this especially if you take out several serves from one container. If you need a quick thaw (not recommended), the container can be left out on the bench for a few hours in or in room temperature water. If you do this, please make sure the raw food is consumed immediately. Some dogs love eating frozen food, particularly in the hotter months.
